When Shannon’s son Max wanted to communicate, he would draw. An incredibly special and much-loved boy, Max was nonverbal which made every picture he drew all the more significant.
"He started drawing and writing when he was 3 years old on a magma doodle it blew our minds."
Sadly in April 2020, at the age of 15 and after 4 rounds of heart surgery, Max passed away after a year and a half in the hospital ICU. The family were heartbroken.
Shannon had a stash of Max’s drawings. In the sorrow that her husband and daughter felt, she wanted to find a way for them to feel loved, by her but by Max too.
She ordered two custom T shirts with Max’s drawing and writing on them. This would be a great way for the family to treasure his memory with a special gift.
When Max’s dad and sister received their T shirts no one could hold back the tears. They were all finding it so hard to live without Max but at the same time, this was a perfect way to treasure his memory.
All the family have their own T shirt with Max’s drawing, sometimes to wear, sometimes just to keep safe as a cherished gift. Wearing Max’s work is like keeping Max close to their hearts for always.
