How to spoil Mum this Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day in the UK is a little earlier this year on 11th March so it’s a good time to start planning ahead! If you are thinking about ordering anything personalised or custom made, most shops will be closing their order books towards the end of February in order to have time to make and post items out.
Here at Little Things by Lucy we know it’s not always about lavishing people with expensive gifts just for the sake of it but more about the sentiment and those little gestures to put a smile on Mum’s face!
The saying ‘the best things in life are free’ is so true, and for me, as a mum it’s all about those little moments such as breakfast in bed or a cuddle when I am not feeling well. There is nothing I love more than a hand drawn card or some home made (albeit usually a bit strange!) cakes. My Mum’s “thing” is homemade cheese straws so I try to make them for her every year… and when I can’t she gets shop bought (sorry mum!), but it’s our little family tradition.
