In our family we have always had the tradition of making Valentines Day cards for the kids, which gave me an idea this year. While we like to show love on Valentines Day what we really want to say is 'I love you today and every day!' What about a Valentines Day card where they could hold onto that feeling always...
I made a super easy card using one of our Love Note Patches, which we were then able to pop into one of my daughters jackets so she can feel the love all day every day ☺️
What you will need
- A Love Note Patch
- A blank card (I used a pre-folded brown Kraft card but you could use any paper or card you have at home folded into a card shape)
- A sticky glue dot or sellotape folded back on itself
Here's what I did to make this adorable Valentines Day card for my daughter.
1) I made my patch by taking a photo of my handwritten message (you can order one and upload your image here)
2) I used a sticky glue dot to attach my patch to the front of the card. You could also use sellotape folded back onto itself to make it double sided. You might want to experiment with using patterned card or drawing on it, or keep it plain like I have!
3) Write your message and give it to your little one on Valentine's Day!
4) After Valentine's Day you can remove the patch from the card and it can be ironed or sewn onto the inside of a jacket, in their school uniform or onto a blanket or bag. Your little one can take your love with you wherever they go, even when you are not together ❤️ We loved that it was a Valentines Day gift and card in one!
