I spent lots of lovely years working in education in various roles, with kids of all ages and I can tell you hands-down my favourite thing to receive at the end of term... and it won't be what you are expecting someone with a gift business to say...
A handwritten card!
Whether it was from a parent or a child, my absolute favourite gift was always a handwritten card with a heartfelt message, something that thanked me or shared the impact I’d had that year.
I worked with children and teens because I wanted to make a difference, and hearing that I had made a difference? It felt wonderful.
It was also such a lovely thing to tuck away in my memory box.
From younger children it was just as wonderful to get a doodle they had drawn themselves, it felt really special and again, was such a gorgeous thing to keep!
I always say, please don't worry about buying lots of gifts as teachers do not expect them. A card is just as special ♥︎
But I also know that when you have a really wonderful teacher you really do sometimes want to show them with a present too 😊
